Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has confirmed that the club identified the individual who leaked information about the altercation between midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni to the media.
“We found the person who leaked the details of the fight between Valverde and Tchouameni. This individual is angry because he is leaving the club, so he decided to disclose the information,” Perez stated during a press conference.
On Thursday, May 7, it emerged that a verbal confrontation between Valverde and Tchouameni during training escalated into a physical fight in the locker room. The Uruguayan midfielder suffered a cut to his head and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Both players were fined €500,000 each for their involvement.
